The race for unique page views
Also F1, what with the organized crime and races in dictatorships.

Considering that I’m currently deeply immersed in a NASCAR race, I’m going with that one.
These people are weird!

If you refuse something free you’re at a net-loss.
Sad!

F1 is too reflective of reality to be weird.
The race for uniques is bloody and desperate; also too reflective of reality.

But by not doing something, I’m contributing that much less to the inevitable entropy heat-death of the universe.
Have fun destroying the universe, you monster.

More like “weirdly obsessed”. I too voted crashcar.

Ugh. You mean I have to log on to Twitter? Gross.
Also, are we talking goood weird or bad weird? Lemons is definitely the place for goofballs, and NASCAR fit Trump voters, but who even cares about horse racing (other than gambling addicts)?

Hate to be that guy, but it has to be horse racing... The whole sport just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I refuse to support it. It’s the animal equivalent of the Isle of Mann TT, only it’s not all that dangerous for the people and the thing they’re riding hasn’t fully developed yet to be raced at all, let alone raced as hard and often as they are.
I get the arguments for keeping it exciting and cheating to a minimum by not enforcing a higher minimum age on there (see olympic gymnastics), but for every American Pharaoh there are dozens of horses at lesser known tracks who suffer brutal injuries and ultimately killed (or killed just because they didn’t win and their owner can’t afford to care for them).

Have you ever been? I can’t even imagine a crowd of swamp people

I voted Kentucky Derby. Patrick voiced most of the reasons far better than I could, but there’s also the absurdity of the fanfare leading up to (and following) a race that is over in about two minutes. Not to mention the blatant opulence and eliteism. I remember watching the Derby a few years back and they mentioned how the event had a signature drink which cost $15,000 per shot, and it was selling like hotcakes. That was beyond absurd to me.

I have never been within 500 miles of a swamp buggy race.
But I have seen it on Speedvision, and I can’t even imagine what fans show up for it.

Id say Nascar. There is some crazy and wild things that go down in the camping grounds. Basically everyone is drunk, best way to describe it is that its almost like a Frat party but with a lower IQ. I will say it is a tight knit society, very helpful of others almost like everyone is family (Probably because its 50/50 shot if they are or not).
Though when ALMS and now IMSA comes to Sebring things can get weird. But Im not sure if thats not just Florida its self.
Turn 10 and yes that is a fish tank... because Florida
And C7R float driving arround
